Wedding Receptions

Positioned on Sywell Aerodrome at the edge of the original grass airfield, which was used during the Second World War and which is still very much in use today, The Aviator is just a short drive from Northampton and makes an unusual and picturesque venue. Formerly the RAF Officers Mess, it is themed in 1930s Art Deco style and features original Sywell memorabilia from those early aviation days. At the heart of Northamptonshire with on-site hotel rooms, it is the perfect venue for your wedding reception.

The Cirrus Suite

The Cirrus Suite, which was formerly the Club House, is now a self-contained function room ideal for wedding receptions, which benefits from the following:

• Private Bar
• Ladies and Gentlemens Cloakrooms
• Views of the Airfield
• Access to the Garden
• Dance floor Area

The Cirrus Suite can seat up to 100 people for a formal lunch or dinner and can accommodate approximately 150 people for an informal buffet.

The Restaurant

For a smaller, meal-based wedding reception we can also provide Wedding meals in our Restaurant for a maximum of 30 people. While there is no dancefloor or space for entertainment, the bar adjoins the restaurant with a large seating area and there is access to the garden also.

The Aviator Hotel benefits from having 54 en-suite bedrooms, which are decorated and fitted with many interesting features. The majority of bedrooms are standard doubles, however we also have a Honeymoon Suite, three family rooms and two rooms which cater for the disabled (these can be made into either king-size or twin beds).
